Biodiversity of Indonesia

Biodiversity express the diversity of ecosystems and genetic types in a vegetation, animals and microorganisms that is integrated in an ecosystem process. Indonesia biodiversity including the most high when compared with the area and are a cold. Indonesia has approximately 17% of species biodiversity in the world that is :

- 11% types of flowering plants,
- 12% types of mammals,
- 15% types of reptiles and amphibi,
- 17% types of birds,
- 27% types of fish,and
- 10% type of jasad renik.

Indonesia land plant has approximately 400 fruit trees, 360 types of vegetable plants, 70 types of plant tubers, up 60 types of plants and 50 kinds of spice plants.

Distribution of species in the Indonesian archipelago is determined by factors ekologis.Irian Jaya has a bird and reptile species of the highest, while the rich sulawesi and kalimantan akan mammals and plants endemik.To maximize and utilize biodiversity efforts required a more intensive exploitation with attention to sustainability, given the many area which is not yet known exactly biological resources.

According to nature, natural resources are vital natural resources that can terbarui.But,have some type of biological resource recovery processes that require time consuming and difficult, so the need of human intervention. Therefore, in the use of natural resources, biodiversity, it is necessary to the efficiency and consider aspects of the environment.
